  About CSRG:

Central States Rescue Group is an all volunteer not for profit organization based out of Madison and St. Clair Counties in southwestern Illinois.  Our members come from all over the State of Illinois, as well as west central Indiana.  We are a newly formed group with a primary focus on providing exemplary service to our served agencies and organizations.  We provide a variety of training programs for the betterment of the community.  Our training programs are open to any interested organizations.

We maintain emergency response capabilities including basic ground search & rescue, cave rescue initial response, and communications support.  We also offer assistance to individuals and groups interested in improving their emergency preparedness plans.  

We are a not for profit, volunteer organization devoted to helping our local and regional communities in times of need.  We provide a variety of services which to help prepare local governmental and non-governmental organizations to prepare for the potential calamities which may one day strike.  

Our group is comprised of quiet volunteer professionals from all walks of life.  Our members pursue both in house and outside training to remain current in the every evolving world of emergency response.  We are currently in the process of developing our organization and preparing to become fully operational.

Central States Rescue Group (CSRG) is committed to using all of the resources at its disposal to achieve our objective. Our mission is carried out through the use of the talent and technology at the disposal of our team of dedicated volunteers with respect to safety of all parties involved.

In times of non-emergency our duty is to educate ourselves as well as the public and private sector to our primary mission and help them develop an understanding of what CSRG and Search and Rescue is.

We provide Assistance & Support to Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, Fire, Rescue, EMS, other Search & Rescue Teams or any Agency that requests a response.

We can provide:

• Communications ( Amateur (Ham), Public Service and a verity of other types ).

• Cave Rescue (with the National Cave Rescue Commission).

• SkyWarn Severe Weather Spotting.

• Disaster Response (To supplement your areas resources).

• Trained Ground Search & Rescue (Day & Night).

• Trained Search & Rescue Management Personnel (On Scene Search Coordination to work with your Incident Commander).

• Water Rescue & Recovery (On scene technical advisors & manpower only).

• We can instruct classes in a verity of Search and Rescue disciplines. (i.e. Ground Search and Rescue, Search Management, Proper Gear & attire for SAR, Mock Search & Rescue Exercises, Mock Cave Rescues Exercises, Ham Radio Info, and more).

• We do demonstrations of various Search and Rescue disciplines.
