The former Western Military Academy (WMA) in Alton, Illinois
(Currently owned by the Mississippi Valley Christian School)
Gen. Paul Tibbets signed this photo for the Museum at the reunion of the Western Military Academy in Alton, Illinois from which he was a graduate.
This photo was taken of then Col. Paul Tibbets with his B-29 bomber "Enola Gay" (The bomber was named after his Mother) that dropped the first Atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan that helped to end WWII.

Gen. Tibbets sits on the Armed Forces Museum WWI (Model 1905) 3" Field Gun .
This Gun was donated in 1998 by the Family of the last Commander of WMA, Col. Ralph Jackson, His Family founded WMA in the 1890's.
The Gun was restored to near perfect condition.
This was in the Chappell at the Western Military Academy
It names all 1,011 of the WMA Alumni that Served in WWII,
The top half of the center column names 52 that were Killed in Action.
