Mission of the Armed Forces Museum of St. Louis

The mission of the armed Forces Museum is to educate the young and to remind the general public of the sacrifices made by the men and women who participated in our countries extensive military history. The Museum uses its large collection of military vehicles, equipment, weapons, memorabilia, vintage uniforms, historical displays, historical books, and a technical-data library to achieve our goal of educating the people of the community.

In addition to our normal Museum operations, we provide many "Show & Tell" outreach programs, where we provide vehicles and portable exhibits to schools, scouting jamborees, patriotic events, parades and veterans’ reunions.

The Museum is free and open to the public ever day 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. from May 1st through October 31st. Winter appointment can be arranged by calling the curator.

On display at the Museum:

The Museum has an extensive and varied collection of historic military memorabilia [uniforms, personal gear and items, weapons, and literature]. Tracked and wheeled vehicles, and armor. Including tanks, a DUKW, armored personnel carriers, armored cars, a Command car, a Weasel, two fire trucks, Three Field Ambulances, several jeeps, and Prototypes.

Membership is open to everyone who has an interest in preserving military history.

                                            Annual Membership        $10.00/Year

                                            Life Membership               $100.00

                                            Student Membership        $3.00/Year

Donation Program

The Museum has a donation program in witch it accepts donations of vehicles, memorabilia, volunteer services, and funds. As a Federally chartered not-for-profit 501(c)(3) Museum, these donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

We are all volunteers [no paid staff] and are solely supported through donations from our members, supporters, and sponsors.
